From Évora, head to the Évora train station (Estação de Évora). You can walk there from the city center, which is about a 15-minute stroll. Once at the train station, purchase a ticket to Vila Viçosa. Trains to Vila Viçosa may not be very frequent, so check the schedule ahead of time. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Vila Viçosa train station, exit and walk towards the village center, which is about a 15-minute walk. Follow the signs to the Ducal Palace, which is located at Terreiro do Paço.

From the central bus station in Évora (Terminal Rodoviário de Évora), take a bus to Vila Viçosa. Buses run regularly throughout the day, so check the timetable for departures. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Vila Viçosa, exit the bus and head towards the center of town. Walk for approximately 10 minutes to reach the Ducal Palace located at Terreiro do Paço.
