Bus
From Badajoz city center, head to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Badajoz, located at Calle José Antonio. Take a bus towards Vila Viçosa, which usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival in Vila Viçosa, exit the bus station and walk straight on Rua da Estação until you reach the roundabout. From there, take the second exit onto Rua Sacadura Cabral. The Castle of Vila Viçosa will be on your left side after a short walk.

Start from Badajoz Railway Station (Estación de Badajoz), located at Avenida de Elvas. Take a train to the nearest station to Vila Viçosa. Once you arrive, exit the train station and follow the signs to the town center. Walk along the main road (Avenida da Liberdade) until you reach Rua Sacadura Cabral. Turn left and continue walking; the Castle of Vila Viçosa will be a short distance ahead on your right.

If you are near the Plaza de España in Badajoz, you can start walking towards the Vila Viçosa bus station located at Calle José Antonio.
