From Lamego, you can take a bus to Viseu. Head to the Lamego Bus Station located near the city center. Look for the bus service that indicates Viseu as a destination. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Viseu Bus Station, exit and follow the signs to the city center.

Walking
From the Viseu Bus Station, head southwest on Rua do Coração de Jesus. Continue straight until you reach Praça da República, a central square. From there, turn left onto Rua da Misericórdia and continue walking until you reach Rua do Doutor Alfredo de Sousa. Follow it until you reach the edge of the city. The Ecopista do Dão trailhead is located at M38M+792, which is approximately a 30-minute walk from the bus station.

If you are comfortable renting a bicycle, several rental shops can be found in Viseu. After arriving at the Viseu Bus Station, head to a nearby rental shop. Once you have a bike, take Avenida da Europa out of the city toward the Ecopista do Dão. The trailhead is about a 10-15 minute ride from the city center and offers scenic views along the way.
