Walking
From the center of Lamego, head southwest on Rua do Comércio toward Praça do Comércio. Continue straight until you reach the main square, Praça da República. From there, take the exit onto Avenida 5 de Outubro. Follow Avenida 5 de Outubro until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Rua da Liberdade. Continue along Rua da Liberdade which will lead you out of the city center. After approximately 1.5 km, you will reach a signpost for the Ecopista do Dão trailhead. Follow the signs pointing towards Viseu, as the trail begins just past this point.

From Lamego, walk to the bus station located at Rua da Estação. Take the bus to Viseu, which typically runs every hour. The journey should take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Viseu bus station, exit the station and head south on Avenida da Europa. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto Rua da Liberdade. Follow the road straight for about 1 km until you see the trailhead for the Ecopista do Dão on your right. Look for the signposts indicating the start of the trail.
