Walking
From the center of Ponte de Lima, start at the main square, Praça da República. Walk towards the south on Rua da Alegria until you reach Avenida dos Descobrimentos. Turn left and continue walking straight. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the Ponte Romana (the Roman Bridge), which is a lovely spot to take pictures. Continue straight, following the signs for Guimarães. You will eventually enter the town of Guimarães. Once you reach the city center, walk towards R. Conde Dom Henrique, where Igreja de São Miguel do Castelo is located. The church will be on your right.

Public Transportation
From Ponte de Lima, head to the bus station located near the center of town. Look for the bus heading to Guimarães; buses typically run every hour. The journey will take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Guimarães bus station, exit the station and head northeast towards Rua de Gil Vicente. Turn right onto R. Conde Dom Henrique, and after a short walk, you will find the Igreja de São Miguel do Castelo on your left.
