Walking
If you are starting from the Guimarães train station, exit the station and head towards the main road, Avenida de Dom João IV. Turn right and walk straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Rua de São Francisco. Continue walking straight until you reach the Largo do Toural. From there, head towards the direction of the Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Oliveira. You will see signs pointing towards the church. Once you reach Largo da Oliveira, the church will be on your left.

If you are starting from the Praça de S. Tiago (St. James Square), walk towards the Largo do Toural. Once you reach Largo do Toural, continue straight ahead in the direction of Rua de São Francisco. Follow the street until you reach Largo da Oliveira. The church will be located at this square, and you can’t miss its impressive façade.

If you are coming from the historic center of Guimarães, make your way towards the Rua de Santa Maria. Walk straight until you reach the Largo do Toural. From there, turn left onto Rua de São Francisco and walk until you reach Largo da Oliveira, where the Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Oliveira is located.
