Walking
If you are starting from the historic Ribeira district, head east towards the Dom Luis I Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the signs for Miragaia. Continue straight until you reach Rua da Ribeira Nova, then take a right onto Rua de São João. Follow this street until you reach Praça da Ribeira, and continue along Rua de Cima do Muro. Turn left onto Rua de Dom Manuel II and walk up the hill until you see Calçada das Virtudes on your left. The Fountain of the Virtues (Calçada das Virtudes 5) will be down this road.

Public Transport
From São Bento Train Station, take the metro at São Bento station on the D line (yellow line) towards Hospital de São João. Get off at the next stop, Trindade. Transfer to the A line (blue line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos. Get off at the stop for Casa da Música. From there, exit towards Avenida da Boavista, and then walk south along Rua de Camões. Continue straight until you reach Calçada das Virtudes, where you will find the Fountain of the Virtues at number 5.

If you are near Clerigos Tower, head south towards Rua do Almada. Continue straight until you reach Rua de Cedofeita, then take a left. Follow this street until you reach Rua de Miguel Bombarda and turn right. Keep walking straight until you reach Calçada das Virtudes, where you will find the Fountain of the Virtues at number 5.
