Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Setúbal city center, head towards the Setúbal Train Station (Estação de Comboios de Setúbal). From the station, exit onto Avenida 5 de Outubro and walk towards the north until you reach the bus terminal. There, take Bus 70 (or any bus that goes to Lisbon). The journey to Lisbon will take approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Lisbon bus terminal (Lisboa Sete Rios), exit and look for the metro station nearby. Take the Blue Line (Linha Azul) towards Santa Apolónia. Ride for about 8 stops until you reach the Santa Apolónia metro station. From there, exit and walk east towards Largo de Santo Estêvão, which is about a 10-minute walk. You will find the Igreja de Santo Estêvão at Largo de Santo Estêvão 13.

To get to the Igreja de Santo Estêvão from Setúbal, start at Setúbal Train Station. Purchase a ticket to the Cais do Sodré station. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk towards the Praça Duque da Terceira. From there, catch the tram number 28E towards Martim Moniz. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop 'Largo de Santo Estêvão.' The church is a short walk from the tram stop, located at Largo de Santo Estêvão 13.

From Setúbal, head to the Setúbal Bus Terminal and take the bus to Lisbon (Lisboa Sete Rios). Once you arrive in Lisbon, walk to the nearby metro station and take the Blue Line (Linha Azul) towards Santa Apolónia. After about 8 stops, get off at Santa Apolónia. From there, walk east for about 10 minutes to Largo de Santo Estêvão. The Igreja de Santo Estêvão will be on your left.
