If you are driving from the center of Sintra, start by heading southeast on the N247 towards Cascais. After approximately 10 km, take the A16 highway towards Lisbon. Follow the signs for Lisbon and after about 25 km, take the exit towards Av. da Liberdade. Continue straight until you reach Praça dos Restauradores. From there, follow signs for the historic districts until you reach Largo de Santo Estêvão. The church will be on your left at Largo de Santo Estêvão 13.

To reach Igreja de Santo Estêvão using public transportation, start at Sintra Train Station. Take the train to Rossio Station in Lisbon (approximately 40 minutes). Once you arrive at Rossio, exit the station and walk towards the Restauradores square. From there, you can catch tram 28, which is a scenic route through Lisbon's historic neighborhoods. Get off at the 'Miradouro de Santa Luzia' stop. From the viewpoint, it's a short 5-minute walk downhill towards Largo de Santo Estêvão 13, where the church is located.
