Car
From Beavertail State Park, exit the park and turn left onto Beavertail Road. Continue for about 2.5 miles until you reach a junction. Turn right onto Jamestown Road (Route 138). Follow Route 138 for approximately 5 miles until you reach the bridge to Newport. Once across the bridge, follow signs for Newport. Stay on America's Cup Avenue and then take a right onto Thames Street. The Museum of Newport History & Shop will be on your right at 127 Thames St.

From Beavertail State Park, walk to the nearest bus stop. You will need to catch the RIPTA Bus #14 towards Newport. The bus will take you directly to Newport. Once you arrive in Newport, get off at the stop nearest to Thames Street. Walk towards Thames Street, and the Museum of Newport History & Shop will be located at 127 Thames St. It should be a short walk of about 5-10 minutes.
