Walking
From Downtown Providence, head south on Washington Street towards Memorial Boulevard. Turn left onto Memorial Boulevard and continue for about 0.5 miles. You will pass the Rhode Island State House on your right. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Elmwood Avenue. Turn right onto Elmwood Avenue, and the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium will be on your left at 1000 Elmwood Ave. This is a pleasant walk of approximately 30 minutes.

From Downtown Providence, you can take the RIPTA bus #1 (Broadway/Elmwood) from the stop on Kennedy Plaza. Board the bus heading towards Elmwood Avenue.
