Getting There

Walking
From the center of Westerly, head east on High Street toward the intersection with Canal Street. Continue straight onto Canal Street, which will take you to the train station. From the train station, board the southbound train toward Providence. After approximately a 30-minute ride, disembark at the Newport station. Once you arrive at the Newport station, head south on America's Cup Avenue towards Thames Street. Turn left onto Thames Street and continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach 127 Thames St, where the Museum of Newport History & Shop is located.

Public Bus
Start at the Westerly Town Hall. Take the RIPTA bus #14 towards URI Kingston. Ride for about 40 minutes until you reach the Newport Gateway Center. Once you arrive, transfer to the Newport trolley or a local bus heading toward Thames Street. After a short ride, get off at the stop closest to Thames Street. Walk north on Thames Street for about 0.2 miles until you arrive at 127 Thames St, where the Museum of Newport History & Shop is located.
