Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the main entrance of Nyungwe Forest National Park, head southeast on the main road. Continue for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction near the Uwinka Visitor Center. At the junction, take a left turn onto the road that leads to Runyinya. Follow this road for about 10 kilometers. You will pass through scenic views of the forest and local villages. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Sinzahara Kibeho. Once you arrive at the coordinates 9HC9+8C, you will find Sinzahara Kibeho.

• Public Transportation

  To use public transportation, start at the Uwinka Visitor Center where you can catch a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Runyinya. The fare typically ranges from 1,000 to 2,000 Rwandan Francs. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Sinzahara Kibeho. Once you are dropped off, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the exact location (9HC9+8C). Be sure to confirm with locals or the driver if you are unsure about the exact drop-off point.

• Walking

  If you are already within the Nyungwe Forest and prefer to walk, you can start from the Uwinka Visitor Center. Take the trail leading toward Runyinya. This path is well-marked and offers a beautiful hike through the forest. It is approximately a 5-kilometer trek to reach Sinzahara Kibeho. Ensure you have comfortable hiking shoes, water, and a map of the trails to guide you along the way.
