Walking
If you are in Praslin and want to reach the Saint Lucia National Trust at Pigeon Island, start by heading towards the nearest bus stop or main road. Depending on your location, you may need to ask locals for directions to the bus stop that services the route to Pigeon Island. Once at the bus stop, board the bus heading towards Castries and inform the driver that you are going to Pigeon Island. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Alight at the stop closest to Pigeon Island, which is well signposted. After disembarking, follow the signs leading to Pigeon Island. The entrance to the Saint Lucia National Trust will be on your right. The site is open from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM daily, so plan your visit accordingly.
Taxi
For a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from any location in Praslin. Simply tell the driver that you wish to go to Pigeon Island and the Saint Lucia National Trust. Ensure that you confirm the fare before starting your journey. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes depending on traffic. Upon arrival, the driver will drop you off at the entrance of Pigeon Island, where you can access the Saint Lucia National Trust.
Bicycle
If you’re feeling adventurous and would like to explore the area on two wheels, consider renting a bicycle from a local shop in Praslin. Make your way towards the coastline, following the route towards Castries. Depending on your cycling speed, it should take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to reach Pigeon Island. Be sure to stay on the designated paths, and look out for signage directing you to Pigeon Island. Once you arrive, park your bike at the designated bike parking area before entering the site.
