Bus
From Yishun MRT Station, take the North South Line (Red Line) towards Jurong East. Alight at Kranji MRT Station. From Kranji Bus Terminal, take Bus 170 to Woodlands Checkpoint. After clearing immigration, switch to a bus service that goes to Johor Bahru. Once in Johor Bahru, you can take a bus or taxi directly to Desaru Coast, which is approximately a 1.5 to 2-hour drive from the city.
MRT and Taxi
Start by taking the North South Line (Red Line) from Yishun MRT Station to Choa Chu Kang MRT Station. Transfer to the Bukit Panjang LRT and take it to Bukit Panjang Station. From there, take a taxi to Desaru Coast. This will take about an hour depending on traffic conditions once you reach the area.
Combination of Bus and Taxi
From Yishun, walk to Yishun MRT Station and board the North South Line heading to Jurong East. At Jurong East, change to Bus 66 or 160 which takes you to Larkin Sentral in Johor Bahru. From Larkin Sentral, you can catch a direct taxi to Desaru Coast, which is around a 1-hour journey.
