Car
If you are traveling by car, a popular route is to start from Morganton, NC. From downtown Morganton, take US-64 E/US-70 E for about 7.5 miles until you reach the intersection with NC-181 N. Turn left onto NC-181 N and continue for approximately 12 miles. Look for signs for Linville Gorge Wilderness as you approach the area. You will eventually reach the Linville Gorge parking area. Note that parking may require a fee, so be prepared to pay for access.

If you are using public transportation, you can take a bus or shuttle service from Asheville, NC to Morganton. Once in Morganton, you will need to rent a car to reach Linville Gorge Wilderness.
