The Doane Robinson Tunnel will be on your right, marked by a small parking area where you can stop to enjoy the tunnel view of Mount Rushmore.

If you are using public transportation, take the bus service from Keystone, SD, which is the nearest town. Board the bus that goes towards Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Upon arrival at the Memorial, you can either walk or take a taxi to US-16A. It is about a 1-mile walk from the Memorial to the Doane Robinson Tunnel. Follow the path along SD-244 and then turn left onto US-16A. The tunnel will be a short distance ahead.
