Getting There

Public Bus
Start at the Rapid City Regional Airport. Board the Rapid Transit System bus Route 7 towards the downtown area. Get off at the 5th and Main stop. Transfer to Route 1, heading towards the West Mall. Ride for 15 stops until you reach the stop at 6th and Omaha. From there, you will need to walk to the intersection of 6th Street and Mount Rushmore Road. Once there, catch the Black Hills Stagecoach bus, which services the Cosmos Mystery Area. Make sure to check the bus schedule for exact times.

Walking and Public Bus
Starting at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center, head east towards 5th Street. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with St. Joseph Street. Take a left and continue walking until you reach the bus stop at 6th and St. Joseph. From here, board the Black Hills Stagecoach bus that goes to the Cosmos Mystery Area. Keep an eye on the bus schedule to ensure you catch the right bus.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in downtown Rapid City. From downtown, head south on Mount Rushmore Road. After approximately 6 miles, turn left onto Cosmos Road. The Cosmos Mystery Area will be on your left after about 2 miles. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow the local traffic rules.
