Continue on the A-6 for approximately 600 km. As you approach Madrid, follow signs for M-30 and take exit 11 towards A-2. Once on the M-30, take the exit towards Avenida de Menéndez Pelayo. After approximately 1.5 km, you will reach the entrance of El Retiro Park, where Velázquez Palace is located at P.º de Venezuela, 2. There is parking available near the park, but be prepared for potential parking fees depending on the time of day.

To reach Velázquez Palace using public transportation, start at the Santiago de Compostela bus station. Take a bus to Madrid; companies like ALSA frequently operate this route, and the journey takes about 6-7 hours. Upon arriving at Estación Sur de Autobuses in Madrid, exit the station and head to the nearby metro station. Take Line 6 (the circular line) towards Cuatro Caminos. Change at the 'Avenida de América' station and transfer to Line 2 (the red line) towards Cuatro Caminos. Get off at 'Retiro' station. From there, it’s a short walk to El Retiro Park. Once you enter the park, Velázquez Palace is located at P.º de Venezuela, 2. Note that metro tickets cost around €1.50 each way.
