Walking
Start your journey from the Anuradhapura Railway Station. Exit the station and head southeast on Station Road. Continue straight until you reach the busy intersection at the junction with Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi Road. At this point, turn left onto Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi Road. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the Sacred City of Anuradhapura. Enter the Sacred City and follow the signs towards Mihintale. Once you're at the Mihintale entrance, you can ask locals for directions to Kaludiya Pokuna, which is around 8 kilometers from here. You can either walk or take a tuk-tuk (which is a popular local transport option) to cover the distance.

From any location in Anuradhapura, hail a tuk-tuk by the roadside. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kaludiya Pokuna in Mihintale. The driver will take you directly to the site, which is approximately 8 kilometers away. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Kaludiya Pokuna, you can explore the rock inscriptions and the surrounding area.
