The journey will take approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Moratuwa, ask the bus conductor to drop you off at the nearest stop to Moratuwa - Piliyandala Rd. After getting off the bus, walk along the road towards the direction of Piliyandala. The Gangarama Temple is located along this road, about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

From Colombo Fort Railway Station, take a train towards Galle or Matara. Make sure to get off at the Moratuwa Station. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Moratuwa Station, exit the station and head towards Moratuwa - Piliyandala Rd. You can either walk (which takes about 25 minutes) or catch a local tuk-tuk for a quicker ride. The tuk-tuk ride should take approximately 10 minutes.
