Start your journey from the center of Ella, near the Ella Railway Station. From the station, head south on the Main Street (A23 road) towards the Ella town center. Continue walking straight for about 1.2 kilometers until you reach a small bridge. Cross the bridge and take a right onto the Dowa Road. Follow this road for approximately 800 meters, and you will see the signs for Dowa Ancient Rock Temple on your left. The temple is located just off the road, and you may need to walk a short path to reach the entrance.

If you prefer a faster option, you can hire a tuk-tuk from any point in Ella. Simply tell the driver to take you to Dowa Ancient Rock Temple. The ride should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic. Most drivers will know the location, but it’s a good idea to confirm the destination before starting your journey. Once you arrive, there will be a small entrance fee of around 200 rupees.
