Getting There

    From Ella town, head to the main bus station which is located near the town center. Look for buses heading towards Nuwara Eliya or Horton Plains. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Make sure to tell the bus conductor that you want to get off at Horton Plains National Park. The bus will drop you off at the entrance of the park.

    If you are feeling adventurous, you can hike to Horton Plains from Ella. Start your trek from the Forest Lodge in Ella. Follow the trail that leads towards the direction of the park, which is approximately 9 km away. The hike will take around 3-4 hours. Make sure to carry water and snacks with you, and wear comfortable shoes. There will be signs guiding you along the way.
