If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, such as Ella or Haputale. From Ella, take the A23 road towards Haputale. After about 16 km, turn onto the A16 road towards Kalupahana. Continue on the A16 until you reach the Kalupahana - Ohiya Road. Follow this road for about 5 km until you see signs for Bambarakanda Waterfall. There is a parking area nearby where you can leave your vehicle.
