If you are in the center of Kandy, start at the famous Kandy Lake. From the lake, head towards the Kandy Municipal Council building on the northeast side. Walk past the building and continue along the road towards the Bahirawa Kanda area. After about 500 meters, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left path which leads you uphill towards Bahirawakanda Temple. It’s a steep climb, so take your time. Follow the signs pointing to Bahirawakanda Temple, and in about 15-20 minutes, you will reach the entrance of the temple.
