Car
If you are driving, start your journey from the city center of Kandy. Head east on Peradeniya Road (A1) towards the Asgiriya area. Continue straight for approximately 2.5 km until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto the Kandy - Peradeniya Road (A1). After about 1 km, turn right onto Asgiriya Road. Asgiri Gedige Rajamaha Viharaya will be on your left after about 500 meters. There is limited parking available near the temple.

Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Asgiri Gedige Rajamaha Viharaya by bus, find a bus that travels along the Kandy - Peradeniya route. You can board a bus from the Kandy Bus Stand, taking any bus heading towards Peradeniya. Inform the conductor that you wish to get off at Asgiriya. The fare is approximately LKR 30-50. Once you get off, walk about 500 meters down Asgiriya Road until you reach the temple.

For a more convenient option, you can hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Kandy. Simply tell the driver that you want to go to Asgiri Gedige Rajamaha Viharaya. The ride should cost around LKR 300-500, depending on your starting point in Kandy. The driver will drop you off right at the temple entrance.
