Walking
Start from the Kandy City Center, heading south on Dalada Vidiya street. Continue straight until you reach the traffic lights at the intersection with Peradeniya Road. From there, take a left onto Peradeniya Road. Walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you see the signs for the Polgolla Dam. Follow the signs, and after approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach Uyanwatta - Polgolla Dam Road. Turn right, and you will see the dam and its surroundings.

Tuk-tuk
From Kandy, you can catch a tuk-tuk from any major intersection or your hotel. Ask the driver to take you to Polgolla Dam, which is about 5 kilometers away from the city center. The driver will take you directly to the dam, and the journey should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic.

Bus
To reach Polgolla Dam by bus, head to the Kandy bus station. Look for buses heading towards Mawilmada or Polgolla. Take the bus and ask the conductor to let you know when to get off at Polgolla. The bus ride should take about 20-30 minutes. Once you disembark, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the dam, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
