If you are driving, start your journey from Kegalle town. Head east on the A1 highway towards Gampola. After about 12 km, look for signs directing you to Ambuluwaawa ICC Road. Turn left onto this road and continue for approximately 5 km. You will arrive at the Ambuluwawa Trigonometrical Station, where you can find the entrance to Ambuluwawa Lake. Note that there is a small entrance fee, usually around 100 LKR per person.

Public Transportation
To reach Ambuluwawa Lake using public transport, first take a bus from Kegalle to Gampola. Buses leave frequently from the Kegalle bus stand. The journey takes about 30 minutes and costs around 50 LKR. Once in Gampola, take a tuk-tuk or a local bus to Ambuluwawa ICC Road, which should cost around 100 LKR. The tuk-tuk ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Upon arrival, you will reach the entrance to the Ambuluwawa Trigonometrical Station. There is an entrance fee of approximately 100 LKR per person.
