If you are starting from Matara Railway Station, exit the station and head west towards the main road (Galle Road). Turn left onto Galle Road and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. Take the first exit at the roundabout, and you will see the Shrine of Our Lady of Matara on your right after approximately 300 meters.

From the Matara Bus Stand, head east on the main road (Galle Road) towards the Matara Fort. After about 500 meters, you will reach a roundabout. Continue straight through the roundabout (second exit), and follow the road for another 1 kilometer. You will eventually see the Shrine of Our Lady of Matara on your right side.
