Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from the central areas of Minneriya National Park, head towards the main exit point of the park. Follow the road leading out of the park and take the B155 highway in the direction of Hingurakgoda. Continue on B155 for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach the Higurakgoda Clock Tower. The clock tower is located on your right at the coordinates 8.0416, 80.9532. Look for the distinctive clock tower structure as a landmark.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus from the main bus stand near Minneriya National Park. Look for buses heading towards Hingurakgoda. The bus fare is generally low, around 50-100 LKR depending on the service. After approximately 30-40 minutes of travel, you will arrive in Hingurakgoda. Once you disembark, the Higurakgoda Clock Tower is a short walk from the bus stop, located on B155. Just follow the road until you see the clock tower.

• Tuk-Tuk

  If you prefer a more direct option, you can hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere within Minneriya National Park. The fare to Hingurakgoda should be negotiated beforehand, and you can expect to pay around 1000-1500 LKR for the trip. The journey typically takes about 20-30 minutes. The tuk-tuk driver will take you directly to the Higurakgoda Clock Tower, which is easily recognizable.
