Walking
Start from the center of Nuwara Eliya, specifically from the Nuwara Eliya Post Office. Head southwest on the Main Street (A5) for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Badulla Road (A5) and continue straight for about 2 kilometers. Look for a sign for Upper Rathna Ella waterfall; you may need to ask locals for directions as it can be a bit hidden. Once you find the entrance, follow the trail that leads towards the waterfall.

Tuk-Tuk
From the Nuwara Eliya bus station, hire a tuk-tuk and inform the driver you want to go to Upper Rathna Ella waterfall. The driver will take you along the Main Street (A5) and then on Badulla Road (A5) for around 2 kilometers. The ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes. Request the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to the waterfall entrance. You may need to walk a short distance from the drop-off point to reach the waterfall.

If you're feeling adventurous, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Nuwara Eliya. Start your journey from the Nuwara Eliya city center and cycle southwest on Main Street (A5) towards the Badulla Road (A5). Continue on this road for about 2 kilometers.
