    If you are in Polonnaruwa town, start at the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Museum. Exit the museum and head south towards the main road (A11). Turn right onto the A11 and continue straight for about 2 kilometers. You will pass local shops and eateries. Look for signs directing you towards Nuwaragala. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction for the A11 and A12 roads. Turn left onto the A12. After about 1 kilometer, you will see signs for Wasgamuwa National Park on your right. Follow the road signs to the park entrance, which is approximately 3 kilometers from the junction.

  • Bicycle

    For a more adventurous route, rent a bicycle in Polonnaruwa town. Start at the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Museum and head south on the A11. Cycling along this road, you will enjoy the scenic views and local atmosphere. After about 2 kilometers, reach the junction with the A12. Turn left onto the A12, and cycle for about 1 kilometer. Look out for the signs indicating Wasgamuwa National Park on your right. The park entrance is approximately 3 kilometers from this junction. Make sure to bring water and wear a helmet for safety.
