From the center of Polonnaruwa, start at the Polonnaruwa Museum. Head east on Main Street (Kachcheri Road). After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the junction of the A11 road. Turn left onto A11 and continue walking for approximately 700 meters until you reach the turn-off on your right towards Kok Doowa, which is located at WX4V+72P. Follow this path for about 300 meters until you reach the bird watching area.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Polonnaruwa. Start at the Polonnaruwa Museum and ride east along Main Street (Kachcheri Road) for about 1 kilometer. Once you reach the A11 road, turn left and continue cycling for approximately 700 meters. Look for the right turn towards Kok Doowa (WX4V+72P) and ride down this path for about 300 meters until you arrive at the site.

Hail a tuk-tuk from any location in Polonnaruwa and tell the driver you want to go to Kok Doowa (WX4V+72P). They will likely take you via Main Street (Kachcheri Road) towards the A11 road.
