If you are driving, start your journey from Kandy. Take the A1 highway towards Matale. After approximately 29 kilometers, turn left onto the A9 road. Continue on A9 for about 26 kilometers until you reach the town of Dambulla. From Dambulla, take the B43 road towards Habarana. After around 15 kilometers, turn left onto the road leading to the Moragahakanda Dam Viewing Point. Follow the signs for approximately 10 kilometers. Note that the last stretch involves a steep ascent; ensure your vehicle is suitable for this terrain.

Public Transportation
To reach Moragahakanda Dam Viewing Point using public transport from Kandy, take a bus to Matale from Kandy Central Bus Station. Upon arriving in Matale, transfer to a bus heading to Dambulla. Once in Dambulla, catch a bus to Habarana. From Habarana, you will need to hire a tuk-tuk or a taxi to reach the Moragahakanda Dam Viewing Point, which is about 10 kilometers away. Be sure to negotiate the fare for the tuk-tuk or taxi in advance. The total cost for the public transport may vary, but expect to spend around 300-500 LKR for the bus rides and an additional 1000-1500 LKR for the tuk-tuk.
