    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Puttalam District. Head east on A12 road towards Anuradhapura. Continue on A12 for approximately 75 kilometers until you reach the turnoff to Sigiriya. Take the left onto the A1 road towards Sigiriya. After about 10 kilometers, you will reach the town of Sigiriya. Look for Pidurangala Rajamaha Viharaya Road, which will be on your right. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers, and you will find the Pidurangala Rock Temple Ticket Office on your left. Ensure to have LKR.1000.00 ready for the entrance fee.

  • Public Transportation

    For public transportation, you can take a bus from Puttalam to Sigiriya. Buses frequently leave from Puttalam bus station heading towards Dambulla. Get off at Sigiriya, which is approximately a 2-3 hour ride. Once in Sigiriya, you can either take a tuk-tuk or walk to Pidurangala Rajamaha Viharaya Road. The ticket office is about 2 kilometers from the main bus stop in Sigiriya. Expect to pay around LKR.100.00 for the tuk-tuk ride or you can walk if you prefer.
