Walking
Start from the Sigiriya Rock Fortress entrance. Walk south on the main road (Sigiriya Road) for about 1 kilometer. You'll pass by several local shops and accommodations. Continue straight until you reach the junction with a signpost pointing towards 'Sigiriya Tank'. Turn left at this junction and follow the path. The tank is approximately 500 meters down this road, and you will see the tank on your right. It is surrounded by greenery and is a great spot for relaxation and photography.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Sigiriya. Head south on Sigiriya Road for about 1 kilometer. After passing the shops, look for a junction with a signpost directing you towards 'Sigiriya Tank'. Turn left here and ride for another 500 meters. The tank will be on your right side, and there are areas to park your bicycle near the entrance.

Find a tuk-tuk in the main square of Sigiriya. Tell the driver you want to go to Sigiriya Tank. The ride will take about 5-10 minutes. The driver will drop you off at the entrance of the tank area, where you can explore the scenic surroundings on foot.
