Walking
If you are in the main area of Unawatuna, start by heading south towards the beach. Walk along the beach road until you reach the end of Unawatuna Beach. Continue walking past the beach until you reach the Mirissa beach area, which is approximately a 30-40 minute walk depending on your pace. As you approach Mirissa, keep an eye out for the signs pointing to Parrot Rock. It will be located along the coast, and you will need to navigate a bit towards the rocky outcrop.

Tuk Tuk
From anywhere in Unawatuna, you can easily find a tuk-tuk. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Parrot Rock in Mirissa. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey. The driver will drop you off at the Mirissa beach area, and from there, you can follow the signs leading to Parrot Rock.

Public Bus
Head to the main bus stop in Unawatuna, which is located near the main road. Look for a bus heading to Mirissa; this is typically a small local bus. The journey to Mirissa will take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at Mirissa, get off the bus and walk towards the beach. Parrot Rock is a short walk from the bus stop, follow the beach towards the east side where the rock formation is located.
