The trek is approximately 12 km from Wellawaya town center. Once you reach the Colombo - Batticaloa Highway (A4), follow the signs towards Wellawaya. Look for the signs indicating 'Diyaluma Falls', which will lead you to the parking area along the road, where you can leave your vehicle.

For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from major towns in Uva Province (like Badulla or Ella) to Wellawaya. Buses frequently operate along the A4 road. Once you arrive at Wellawaya bus stop, you can hire a tuk-tuk (three-wheeler) to take you to the Diyaluma Falls entrance. The tuk-tuk ride will cost approximately 300-500 LKR, depending on your negotiation skills. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
