From Ascona, make your way to the Ascona Ferry Terminal located along the lakefront. Follow the path alongside the waterfront. Once you reach the terminal, board the ferry heading towards Lugano. Enjoy the scenic ride across the lake, which typically takes about 30 minutes. Disembark at the Lugano Ferry Terminal.

After arriving at the Lugano Ferry Terminal, exit the terminal and turn left onto Viale Verbano. Continue walking straight for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Via Nassa. Turn left onto Via Nassa and follow it until you arrive at Piazza Alessandro Manzoni. The Fondazione Margherita will be located at number 3 on the piazza.

Bus
From the Lugano Ferry Terminal, walk to the nearby bus stop called 'Lugano, Piazza Rezzonico'. Here, you can catch bus number 2 towards 'Lugano, Stazione'. Stay on the bus for about 5 stops, then get off at 'Lugano, Stazione'. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk. Head down Via G. M. B. G. until you reach the intersection with Via Nassa, then turn left. Continue until you reach Piazza Alessandro Manzoni, where Fondazione Margherita is located.
