From Locarno, head to the Locarno bus station located near the train station. Take the bus number 312 towards Varese. The bus will take you through beautiful landscapes and will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Viale del Santuario' stop. From there, follow the signs leading to 'Sacro Monte di Varese', which is a short walk up the hill (approximately 10-15 minutes).

Make your way to the Locarno train station. Board a train heading to Varese, which usually requires a change at either Bellinzona or Lugano. The journey will take roughly 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at Varese train station, exit the station and catch bus number 5 towards 'Viale del Santuario'. Disembark at the 'Viale del Santuario' stop and follow the signs to 'Sacro Monte di Varese' (a 10-15 minute walk uphill).
