If you are in the center of Lugano, start at the main square, Piazza della Riforma. Head east on Via Nassa, which is a pedestrian street lined with shops and cafes. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Cattedrale. Turn left onto Via Cattedrale and walk uphill towards the cathedral. Once you reach the cathedral, take the steps leading down to Scalinata Canter. Continue down Scalinata Canter for about 150 meters, and you will see Museo Wilhelm Schmid on your left at Scalinata Canter 10.

From Lugano's main train station (Stazione di Lugano), take bus number 4 towards 'Castagnola'. Get off at the 'Scalinata Canter' stop, which is the nearest stop to the museum. After disembarking, walk down the steps of Scalinata Canter for about 50 meters, and you will find Museo Wilhelm Schmid at Scalinata Canter 10 on your right.

If you are near Parco Ciani, exit the park and head towards the lakefront. Walk along the lakeside promenade in the direction of the city center. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the end of the promenade. Turn right onto Via Cattori, which leads uphill. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Cattedrale. Turn left onto Via Cattedrale, and then take the steps down to Scalinata Canter. Walk approximately 150 meters down the steps, and you will see Museo Wilhelm Schmid on your left at Scalinata Canter 10.
