Walking
Start at the Lugano train station (Stazione di Lugano). Exit the station and head towards the main street, Viale Giuseppe Cattori. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Via Nassa, which is a pedestrian street. Turn left onto Via Nassa and continue walking until you reach the lakeside promenade (Lungolago). Follow the promenade along Lake Lugano until you reach the ferry terminal (Imbarcadero di Lugano). Take a ferry to Cadenazzo, which will give you beautiful views of the lake. Once you arrive at Cadenazzo, exit the ferry and walk along Via Vecchia Regina, following the signs towards Laglio. Continue on this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Villa Regina.

From the Lugano train station, take bus number 12 towards 'Cernobbio'. This bus will take you along the scenic route by the lake. Get off at the 'Laglio' stop. From there, walk along Via Vecchia Regina for about 1 kilometer until you reach Villa Regina. This will be a pleasant walk with views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
