Car Rental
If you're traveling by car, head south from Moshi on the A23 highway towards Arusha. After approximately 45 kilometers, take the exit towards B1 road, continuing for about 20 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Lake Chala. The lodge is located about 10 kilometers off the B1 road, on a dirt road that leads directly to the lodge's entrance. Ensure that your vehicle is suitable for dirt roads, as the final stretch may be bumpy.

Public Transportation (Matatu)
From Moshi, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Arusha. Get off at the junction for the B1 road. From there, you may need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a private transfer to take you the 10 kilometers to Lake Chala Safari Lodge. Confirm the fare beforehand; it should typically be around 10,000-20,000 TZS.

If you prefer a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from Moshi directly to Lake Chala. This will cost around 80,000-100,000 TZS, depending on your negotiation skills. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours, and the taxi driver should be familiar with the route to Lake Chala.
