    If you are traveling by car, start from Moshi town, which is a common base for tourists. Head north on the A23 highway towards Arusha. After approximately 40 kilometers, take the exit towards the B144 road. Follow the B144 for about 20 kilometers, passing through the village of Marangu. Continue until you reach the junction for Rongai Gate, which is well-marked. Turn left and follow the road for another 5 kilometers until you arrive at Rongai Gate. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as some roads may be unpaved.

    To reach Rongai Gate by public transportation, take a dala-dala (local minibus) from Moshi to Marangu. The fare is usually around 2,000 TZS. Once in Marangu, you can take another dala-dala heading towards Rongai. Inform the driver of your destination to ensure you are dropped off at the right junction. From the junction, it’s a short walk (about 5 kilometers) to Rongai Gate. Alternatively, you can hire a local taxi from Marangu if you prefer a more direct route, which may cost around 15,000 TZS.
