Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the main entrance of Doi Inthanon National Park, head southeast on Doi Inthanon Road (Route 1009) for approximately 12 kilometers. As you approach the village of Changkhoeng, keep an eye out for signs directing you to the museum. Turn onto the road leading to Wat Buppharam, where the museum is located. Continue for about 1 kilometer, and you will see the museum on your left. Parking is generally available near the entrance.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the museum using public transportation, first take a songthaew (shared taxi) from Chiang Mai to Mae Chaem District. The fare is approximately 50-100 THB per person, depending on your negotiation skills. Once in Mae Chaem, you may need to hire another songthaew or a local taxi to take you to Wat Buppharam, which is about 10 kilometers away from the Mae Chaem bus station. The fare for this short trip is around 200-300 THB. The museum is located adjacent to the temple.

• Bicycle or Walking

  For the adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Doi Inthanon National Park and cycle to the museum. This route is approximately 12 kilometers from the park entrance and will take you through beautiful landscapes. Please note that the final stretch might involve some steep inclines. Ensure you have water and snacks as there are limited stops along the way. Alternatively, if you are staying nearby, walking is also an option, but be prepared for a longer journey.
