Walking
From Neiafu town center, head southwest towards the waterfront. Walk along the main road (Tonga Rd) until you reach the intersection with the Ha'atafu Beach road. This will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach the intersection, turn left onto the Ha'atafu Beach road and continue straight. You will see signs directing you to Ha'atafu Beach. Follow the road until you reach the beach entrance.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from Neiafu town center and head southwest towards Tonga Rd. Follow Tonga Rd until you reach the Ha'atafu Beach road intersection. Turn left onto Ha'atafu Beach road. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Continue straight to reach the beach entrance. Be mindful of traffic and pedestrians along the way.
Local Taxi (Tonga)
While not a car rental, you can hire a local taxi in Neiafu. Simply ask for a ride to Ha'atafu Beach. The taxi drivers are familiar with the area and it should take around 10-15 minutes to reach the beach. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
