Getting There

    If you are driving from Rwenzori Mountains National Park, start by heading southeast on the main road towards Fort Portal. Follow the signs for Fort Portal, a journey that takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you reach Fort Portal, continue towards Bigodi by taking the road marked on your GPS. Bigodi is located just about 5 km from Fort Portal, and you will see signs directing you to the village. Look for CC47+54 as your destination point.

    From within Rwenzori Mountains National Park, find a local taxi or 'matatu' (shared minibus). Ask the driver to take you to Fort Portal. The fare is usually around 10,000 UGX (Ugandan Shillings). Once in Fort Portal, you can either walk to the Bigodi area (approximately 5 km) or catch another matatu heading towards Bigodi. Ensure to confirm with the driver that they are going to Bigodi before boarding. The additional fare to Bigodi should be around 5,000 UGX.
