Getting There

  • Bicycle

    From Gulu city center, head southwest towards the Gulu - Kampala Road (A109). Continue riding for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction at the roundabout. Take the first exit onto the Gulu - Pakwach Road (A5). Follow this road for about 70 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Upon reaching the town of Pakwach, continue towards the Murchison Falls National Park entrance, which is well-signposted. The park entrance is about 20 kilometers from Pakwach, where you can pay the entrance fee before entering the park.

  • Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)

    In Gulu, find a boda boda stand, which can be found in various parts of the city. Inform the driver that you want to go to Murchison Falls National Park. The driver will take you to the Gulu - Kampala Road (A109) and then continue on the Gulu - Pakwach Road (A5). The ride will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off at the park entrance where you can pay the entrance fee to access the park.

    From Gulu, go to the main bus park. Look for buses heading to Pakwach or Masindi, and board one. The bus journey to Pakwach will take around 2-3 hours.
