Getting There

  • Car

    From Queen Elizabeth National Park, take the Kasese-Fort Portal Road towards the town of Kasese. Continue on the road until you reach the Kasese-Mbarara Highway. Turn left onto the highway and drive towards Mbarara. After approximately 80 kilometers, you will reach the town of Ishaka. Turn right onto the Ishaka-Katunguru Road and continue until you reach Katunguru. From Katunguru, follow signs towards Murchison Falls National Park, which is approximately 40 kilometers away.

    From Queen Elizabeth National Park, you can take a matatu (shared minibus taxi) from the nearest town to Kasese. From Kasese, you can then take another matatu towards Mbarara. Once in Mbarara, you can take a taxi or boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to Ishaka. From Ishaka, you can find another matatu or taxi to Katunguru. From Katunguru, you can hire a boda boda or private taxi to take you to Murchison Falls National Park.
