Public Transport
Start at Union Square Bus Station in Aberdeen. Take the Stagecoach bus service 202 towards Stonehaven. This bus will take you out of Aberdeen; stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the stop for Laurencekirk. From the bus stop, walk south along the main road (A937) for about 10 minutes until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A90 towards Dundee. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will come to a small path leading to Loch Saugh. Follow this path to reach the viewpoint.

If you're feeling adventurous, consider walking from Aberdeen to Loch Saugh Viewpoint. Start at the city center and head south towards the A90. Follow the A90 for about 12 miles, which will take approximately 4 to 5 hours on foot. Once you reach Laurencekirk, look for signs directing you towards Loch Saugh. The final stretch will involve a short hike along the paths leading to the viewpoint, which offers beautiful views over the Loch.

For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike shops in Aberdeen. Begin your journey by heading south towards the A90. Follow the designated bike routes to ensure safety. The ride to Laurencekirk is about 12 miles and should take roughly an hour. Once you arrive in Laurencekirk, look for signs to Loch Saugh, which is a short ride from the town. There are paths leading to the viewpoint where you can park your bike.
