Start by taking a train from Derry to the nearest major train station, which is at Coleraine. This train journey usually takes around 30 minutes. After arriving at Coleraine, transfer to a bus service that heads towards Portsalon. Look for bus routes such as the 221, which connects Coleraine with Portsalon. This bus ride will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Portsalon, follow the signs to the beach, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
